A Lovely Winter Market!

THANKS to all for a lovely market this weekend! We got to say hi to about 130 of our friends, listen to great music by Tim Gurshin, drink a little eggnog and hot cider (not in the same cup), and buy boatloads of leeks … apparently the thought of an impending storm prompted everyone to immediately start making potato leek soup. An odd phenomenon, but a tasty one for sure!

Happy winter, happy winter storm, happy holidays of whatever sort you choose to celebrate, drive safely, and see you all again on June 4.

PS Don’t forget to actually EAT all the winter squash you now have tucked under the bed in the cool spare room of your house!

Next Indoor Market Sat., Dec. 14

The calendar has ticked over into December, and the winter holidays and the New Year are on the horizon. Be sure your fridge, pantry, and root cellar are stocked with all the local goodness to be found at the farmers market!

Our next market will be on Saturday, December 14, at the historic Town Hall in Canterbury Center. The time is set for 10am to 2pm.

We hope to see you there!

PS Please note that this is the last indoor market of the year. We won’t see you again … well, in person anyway … until June 4, 2014!! We will still be updating photos, recipes, and items of interest on both our website and FaceBook page.
